Step down, from your high ground. Can you see now? There's smoke in your eyes. I'll take you downtown, take a look around. It's gone now, and we're alone. We're broken. We're losing time. This life's not mine. Take me back, I can't stand these silent nights. Window's glass--- to cut out these empty eyes. So many nights, just withering alone. Asking myself--- how do I make it on my own? As hollow bodies pass the corroded vegetation all the buildings, and their extinction. We're broken. We're losing time. This life's not mine.

In a constant battle with time In the midst of cosmetic slavery The consumerists whine and dine Onward with the cheap labor, and they monopolize A billboard for corporations until you die We’ve been victimized We’ve been pacified With material obsessions Our prized possessions A bloated commercial empire Fueled by the conceited swine But, you’re so much more than what you buy Where do the answers lie? The potential of our minds / the complexity of this life Now let’s open the door to a world where we never compromise to being commodified / there’s so much to learn Boredom is the enemy. Apathy won’t get the best of me. Questioning---- question everything And advertise your honesty.

No matter where your thoughts may linger, no matter where you point your finger Don’t stray from true ambitions, and don’t be left wondering what you could be missing Stop! Take a second to listen. Listen to each other, listen to one another. Don’t defer your dreams, because life’s too damn short for you not to believe. Critiquing, an effort of thinking before speaking Continuous contemplation, relentless in our evaluations. New knowledge we gain, motivation we attain, understanding we claim Each and every day, in every single way. While we’re on this endless and inviting road, if we maintain that focus Many limits will cease to be. So, tell me. Are you trapped in reality? Are you sick of working? But never having money? Do you want to get out and see the world? Do you want to scream out, and hope you’re heard? May we always think of our past, experiences shaping our perception of this world. Reflection--- it’s a most useful tool, building and moving forward every day. Progressions, impressions, and self-expression—it all molds our reality, gives us sweet gratification. The supreme victory--- so, tell me, how will you be FREE? So, tell me. Are you trapped in reality? Are you sick of working? But never having money? Do you want to get out and see the world? Do you want to scream out, and hope you’re heard? Music defines freedom for me, I can’t tell you what you need But we do need each other, take care of one another. We all need to express, it relieves this stress This is freedom not found in flag. Not freedom found in a paper bag. Not freedom in a dollar bill Not freedom from Capitol Hill
